The Alliance for Coney Island Friday Night Fireworks open their 2026 summer series tonight at 9:45 PM. Visible from outside Pete's Clam Stop and the entire boardwalk between West 10th and West 15th Streets. Runs every Friday through August 28 — confirmed dates include July 3, July 4, July 10, July 17, July 24, July 31, and continuing every Friday through August 28.
The Cyclone roller coaster's 99th birthday. Luna Park is open 11 AM to 12 AM with extended events all day — photo ops, special ride programming, and a celebration that brings the entire boardwalk out. $10 single Cyclone ticket or all-day wristband.

July is the busiest month in Coney Island. Nathan's Fourth of July hot dog eating contest runs one building away from Pete's, two fireworks shows land on the same holiday weekend, and the Brooklyn Cyclones are in the heart of their home schedule at Maimonides Park.
The 250th-anniversary edition of the world's most famous competitive-eating contest. Ten minutes of glory at the corner of Surf and Stillwell — one building away from Pete's Clam Stop at 1320 Surf Ave. 11 AM to 1 PM. Free to watch from the surrounding streets. Bring your appetite: head to Pete's for clams and fried shrimp the second the contest ends.

The Brooklyn Cyclones (Mets affiliate, South Atlantic League) play a 132-game schedule from April through early September at Maimonides Park on Surf Avenue. Most home stands are Tuesday through Sunday with evening games. The stadium is a five-minute walk from Pete's — first-base side and fried clams go together.
